Marty Borsboom
Born and raised on Vancouver Island, I have been creating 3 dimensional works for all of my adult life. From construction and carpentry to furniture building to hot rod cars, both in scale model and in real life, many different materials have been part of my artistry. My love for all things colourful has always shined through. In my most recent metal works I create 3D sculptures that display balancing acts of shapes and forms; crystals are important elements in each of them.
I have long been recognized as a scenic photographer. The City of Parksville has used my photography on their website and I was a photographer for the magazine Oceanside Tourism for four seasons. I also provided photos to The PQ News (The Parksville/Qualicum News). I have always enjoyed capturing views of the island in photos: mosses and mushrooms, lichens and wildflowers, weeds and dewdrops, colours, textures, patterns and reflections, sunrises and sunsets, I find inspiration in all of them.

Cecile Brisebois Guillemot
Born and raised in Winnipeg, MB I have been living in Victoria for over 20 years. I graduated from the University of Manitoba with a BFA major in Graphic Design and minor in English Literature, after having spent two years in France studying art. Poetry and photography have both been art forms that I have practiced for many years and I enjoy incorporating the two.
I am a self-professed "mooniac", I can't help but be lured by our amazing shape-shifter satellite and love photographing it in its many phases. The beautiful scenery of Vancouver Island and all its fantastically varied flora and fauna have served as the starting point to all of the art I have done since relocating here; this environment is so inspirational.
As a certified teacher in BC I taught in the public school system for a number of years and now teach art at the community level. It's so enjoyable to share my love for art in all its forms and I am humbled to be part of a student's creative development. I will never forget the girl I was, my thirst for knowledge, my gratitude to all those who recognized it and I am honoured to have the opportunity to give back to others.
